The Swapshop

Sustainable consumer behaviour

Together with 2 team members, I conducted research for The Swapshop to identify barriers to sustainable consumer behaviour, based on existing literature. The Swapshop aims to encourage customers to develop a habit of swapping clothes rather than buying new ones and to reduce the amount of clothing that is thrown away.

After identifying various barriers, we proposed interventions and visualized how they could improve the shop. These interventions can contribute to their mission to change the fashion industry..

Motivate sustainability and enhance ease of use.

Upcycling: enhance motivator desire for uniqueness

Communicate pre-purchase information & and tackle lack of knowledge about sustainability.
